Cancer Project

"A TIME TO CURE"

Our Masonic Family has a wonderful partnership with the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota which we will continue to support.  This year we will support Dr. Naomi Fujioka and her work with Lung Cancer Chemoprevention.  Dr. Fujoika's research is focused on a method of detecting potential lung cancer.  So many cancers begin in the lung and then metastasize or move to other organs.  Once this happens it makes it much more difficult to treat or surgically remove.  If these cancers could be detected and treated within the lung it would enable many more full and successful cures or remissions.  Please help us make a meaningful impact on the lives of countless friends, neighbors and thos we don't even know.

"We are impressed by Dr. Fujoika's qualifications and that this is Minnesota home-grown research, started here at the Masonic Cancer Center.  We would be pleased to assist and have the solution come from Minnesota."
  Doris Korthof, Worthy Grand Matron

"We also liked the fact that this method of treatment is a lot less expensive and a lot less invasive than other options."  Ralph Johansen, Worthy Grand Patron
