Area Conferences

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

Did you know that any member can propose changes to our Minnesota Eastern Star Code?  Do you know what forms are necessary to submit chapter bylaws changes for approval by the WGM?  If not, come to an Area Conference and find out.  At the 2013 Area Conferences we are again planning to focus on the ritual work necessary to conduct your stated meetings, as this was very well-received last year.  However, we are also planning breakout sessions with our Grand Secretary and Grand Treasurer, and with the Jurisprudence Committee.  We may even include a brief history lesson for everyone, so that we can answer the age old question of "why do we..." with something other that "because we've always done it that way."

Reservations should be made a week before the Area Conference.  The cost is $6.00 per person, which includes lunch.

Area conferences not only give us the opportunity to learn more about the work of our order, but also provide a wonderful way for us to connect, or reconnect, with our Sisters and Brothers from other chapters around the state.  We encourage all members to attend, whether you're a seasoned veteran or a new initiate.  So, plan a road trip with your chapter members to attend an area conference.  Remember, there are prizes for the chapter with the most members in attendance!  And, don't forget to bring your dues card, Ritual, and code book.
